Gas RC Cars

When you turn on the Television on almost any given weekend you can find a plethora of races on.  You will find everything from Formula cars to dirt track and beyond.  They are a lot of fun to watch on the screen and even more fun to see in person if you can afford to go.

Gas Powered RC Cars offer the average guy the chance to get close to the feeling and sportsmanship that racing provides and still allow them to maintain a life balance.  You can get yourself set up to do some racing with one of these machines with a fairly minimal investment in time, energy and cash.  You can buy the basics and expand your system as the weeks, months and years go on.

You can make it something for the entire family so instead of having the wife complaining about the fact that you are always out doing your thing, she will instead be begging you to get things set up for the weekend family get away.

Yes, I know it seems odd but it is true.  It is a sport that you can enjoy when you have the time.  It is a sport that you can do pretty much for the rest of your life and it is a hobby that you will make friends at that will remain friends for the rest of your life.

You can join clubs that specialize in these things so you get a feeling of brotherhood and belonging, much like you may have as a child when you belonged to a scouting group.  It becomes something that can take a little or as much of your available resources of time and money as you want to give it and it is a family oriented thing that you can pass on to your children and grandchildren.  Should you ever feel that you have out grown a car that you own, it is fairly easy to pass it along to another family member for them to enjoy.  

These things can become hobbies that can get out of hand though if you are not careful.  It is a sport as well and you can find yourself getting so caught up in it that it can become addictive and compulsive like drinking or gambling though without the poor health side effects.

I personally live it because it gives me some quality one on one time with my kids without having to compete with video games, I-pods and cell calls or texting.  We get up early on the weekends and cook some breakfast, pack a lunch and then head off to spend the day having fun.  We leave all the communications devices in the “real” car when we get out to play and they stay there and turned off until we head for home at dusk.  My wife likes them as well but she likes to stay home during our race days and spend some quiet alone time, which she gets very little of.  The whole family loves what Gas Powered RC Cars have done for us in enhancing our quality of life.

There is just something about the little buzz of a bunch of Gas RC Cars whizzing by that is hard to beat.  It may not be NASCAR or the Indie 500 race but it can be as fun and exhilarating as if it were.  The people that participate in this sport get every bit as passionate as the fanatics that follow the full sized counterparts on the Sunday race circuit.

The difference for most people between the two is not the size, though there obviously is a difference there, the biggest thing for most fans of this sport is that they can participate and even join in the race and not go broke doing it.   For not much more than it might cost to get in to see one NASCAR race – provided you live close to the track – you can afford to get fully set up in Gas RC Cars and be racing in style with all the whistles and bells you need to look like a pro.

These Gas RC Cars are more than just little replicas of the full sized counterparts.  They are an extension of their owner.  You can get creative and customize away to your hearts content and still not really break the proverbial bank.

There are freelance folks that just get together and have fun and there are even sanctioned racers that actually get together and run things like a large race.  There are rules and regulations to these races, just like the big boys and you have to have a certain this and a certain that in order to qualify and if you do too much modification you can even get disqualified.

Gas RC Cars are not a new craze, in fact the Gas Powered RC units have been around for a long time in one form or another from cars to airplanes and most people over the age of forty can remember getting one as a child and having fun with it out in an open driveway or parking lot. So the desire to go to a Gas RC Car may have been instilled in you at a young age and you might not even know it.

The controllers, once quite basic and with limited range, now are extremely radical and allow you to do things they only dreamed about in the infancy days of Gas RC Cars and the sport of RC racing.  Today you can do everything with the remote that you could want to do, other than control the girl that gives you the cup when you win the race.

Seriously though, this is one serious hobby that can bring years and years of joy and camaraderie and bring a great emotional return on your investment. It is a hobby that is not terribly expensive and one that the whole family can enjoy and even do it together either as a team of friendly opponents.
